Having started her career in newspaper journalism, Amber spent two years working in local government-media relations, before deciding to go freelance in 2004. She still writes for both local and national newspapers and magazines, on a freelance basis, and offers a copywriting and press release service through her website, Custom Copy.

When she's not writing, Amber can normally be found either reading or shopping. She owns and runs fashion portal The Fashion Police, and believes that you can never have too many shoes, clothes, or handbags.

"If the shoe fits, buy it!" is Amber's motto, and she aims to get married in either Jimmy Choos, Manolo Blahniks, or a great pair of Christian Louboutins.
