Clash of the Titans
A classic tale of good verses evil, but with tons of intense fight
scenes and high action shots. Sam Worthington plays Perseus, the son
of Zeus. Zeus is played by Liam Neeson. Clash of the Titans is one
of many excellent
Warner Brothers action flicks you'll want to see. The movie is
directed by Louis Leterrier. The movie cost nearly $125 million to
make and brought in about $61 million on its opening weekend. The
current gross on the movie is estimated at about $163 million, so
the movie did make money, although perhaps not enough to measure up
to the huge cost of making the film. |

Die Hard
Bruce Willis first got noticed while playing the role of David
Addison Jr. in the television show Moonlighting back in 1985.
The series was very successful and spurred on Willis' film career.
He was 30 years old when he landed the part on Moonlighting,
starting his career a bit later than many actors do. Yet, he is on
of the top grossing actors at the box office today. He also has

Independence Day
This action flick stars some truly
talented actors, including Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff
Goldblum, Robert Loggia and Randy Quaid. The world is under attack
from a hostile alien force that wants to exterminate humans from
Earth and take over the planet. What ensues is an all out battle of
the wits, with Americans Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum taking on the
final battle and of course winning. The movie centers around the
theme of a new Fourth of July independence as mankind is freed from
the potential oppression of an alien nation. |

Indiana Jones
The Indiana Jones series stars actor Harrison Ford as university
professor and adventurer Indiana Jones. The latest Indiana Jones
movie was The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, where Ford
returns on yet another epic and amazing adventure, this time helping
a team of younger explorers, but showing them a few tricks from an
old pro. The Indiana Jones character has a unique look that includes
a bullwhip, leather bomber jacket and fedora hat. The character
often wears safari colored shirts and pants and boots as well. |

Iron Man
Iron Man and Iron Man 2 take the comic book hero
Iron Man and bring him to life in film format. Iron Man, who is Tony
Stark in his everyday life, is played by Robert Downey Jr. Tony
Stark is harmed in an accident and winds up building a body armor
type suit to protect himself. He then realizes the power in such a
suit and chooses to use it to protect people from those who would do
evil. The movie also stars Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow. You can

Kill Bill
This film is directed by Quentin Tarantino and is the fourth film
the director made. The film stars
Uma Thurman,
Lucy Liu,
Vivica Fox and
Daryl Hannah. This action thriller actually comes in two parts:
Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Kill Bill: Volume 2. The
Bride, played by Uma Thurman, is an assassin. When she wakes from a
coma, her thoughts are not on her missing recently born child but on
getting revenge on the fellow assassins who betrayed her, and most
of all on Bill, who is the leader of the assassins and the father of
her child. |

Terminator
One of the most intense action movies of all time is The
Terminator, which also has several high action sequels. The
movie stars
Arnold Schwarzenegger as a robot assassin. It also stars Linda
Hamilton and Michael Biehn. Kyle Reese arrives from the future to
protect Sarah Connor from a cyborg that has been dispatched to kill
her. The cyborg is nearly indestructible and will never stop hunting
Sarah. In addition to lots of explosions, tense chase scenes and car
getaways, viewers will also appreciate the romance that develops
between Sarah and Kyle. |

The Fast and the Furious
The Fast and the Furious 4 is the latest in this franchise
system, and stars Vin Diesel. It is pretty definite that at least
one more movie is being talked about as well in this series. While
working undercover, a policeman befriends some street racers. He
feels torn after a while, because he suspects his street racing
friends might be part of a ring of hijackers. The movie is filled
with lots of action scenes involving car chases and exciting street

The Dark Night
The Dark Night is the latest in the Batman movie world. The
movie stars Christian Bale as Batman, the late Heath Ledger as the
Joker and Michael Caine as Alfred. The Joker plays a big role in
this movie as he unleashes chaos on Gotham City and drives Batman
and his fellow heroes crazy trying to stop him. Warner Brothers bet
big on this movie. The films big stars and special effects cost
about $185 million to make. It was a good investment, since the film
brought in about $158 million in the opening weekend alone. The
movie is now

The Matrix
The Matrix is a science fiction thriller/action movie
unlike anything else out there. It is really a quite unique genre
among action movies. The cast is made up of Keanu Reeves, Laurence
Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving. Reeves plays the part
of Neo, a computer program who is also a hacker by night. He is
awakened to a startling reality that computers are controlling
everyone and the real world is now completely trashed. He realizes
that he must continue to play the role they've set up for him while
secretly battling for freedom from the Matrix. The movies are a
trilogy made up of The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded and
The Matrix Revolutions. |
