Barolo Grill
If you're looking for fine dining in Denver, then you'll want to check out the Barolo Grill. The menu items include chef specialties based on cuisine from northern Italy. If you are looking for a five course meal, you may want to check out the tasting menu, which offers dishes like zuppa di zucca, risotta all aragosta and filetto di manzo. You can also purchase items a la carte.
Frasca
Another Italian restaurant makes the list of top Denver restaurants. Frasca focuses on food from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. Their menu includes both food and wine. You'll find tried and true favorites like ravioli, tortellini and antipasti. Some of the more unique dishes are Uovo Croccante, Maccheroni alla Chitarra and Crostata di Pompelmo Rosso Rubino.
Fuel Cafe
A trendy restaurant in downtown Denver. One of the unique things about this restaurant is their urban garden. They get many of their fresh herbs and vegetables from that garden to use in their dishes. They have an interesting menu. Appetizers include beef tartare and feta with fried dough. Main dishes are Cuban skirt steak, proscuitto baked cod and green gnocchi.
The Kitchen
This top notch restaurant has been in business for over six years. They are known as a "community bistro" offering menu selections for lunch and dinner served family style. The menu is quite diverse. You'll find everything from a fancy cheese board with every kind of cheese imaginable and bread, but you'll also find simple fare like French fries.
Mizuna
If you've ever wanted to try a dish with truffle, this is the place to dine. Mizuna is open for dinner only. You may want to make a reservation as it is a popular location. Their menu items include Hudson Valley duck breast, Atlantic Monkfish and Meyer Ranch beef strip loin. Desserts include macadamia nut brittle and malted ice cream, lemon curd layer pudding and gingerbread Belgian waffle.
Potager
This restaurant has been around since 1997 and is a father/daughter run establishment. They offer organic food that is environment friendly. The menu includes twice baked lemon and goat cheese soufflé, Monroe Farm beet and orange salad, Grass Root Farm's grass fed beef tartar and simple dishes like pasta and pizza.
SALT
If you want to get out of the city, you can drive a short thirty miles to SALT. Salt is an upscale restaurant offering lunch, brunch and dinner menus. The dinner menu features dishes such as local Honeycrisp apple salad, Shitake mushroom flatbread, slow roasted Colorado lamb and wood grilled Hawaiian Mahi.
The Squeaky Bean
Set up like a European cafe, The Squeaky Bean offers fresh roasted coffee that is the talk of the town. Their menu includes the freshest produce. Their brunch menu features a frittata of the day, pigs in a blanket and overnight French toast. At lunch, you'll see items like hot pressed sandwiches, cold sandwiches and a wide variety of salads. Dinner brings special dishes like the Kobe beef short rib.

Table 6 offers a fine dining experience with two renowned chefs. The menu has some taste feasts, such as the Camembert chicken roll, Colorado heirloom porcetta, maple duck ham and grilled strip steak. You can finish off the night with some unique wine selections. Try the 2006 Turley "The White Coat" wine from San Luis Obispo, California.
Vesta Dipping Grill
Vesta comes out with a new menu each season. You'll find items on the fall/winter menu such as a vesta roll, lamb ribs, shrimp and smoked venison sausage. On Mondays, they offer menu classics like tomato jam, scallop skewers and Riesling poached pear. You'll also find a kids menu and a complete red wine and white wine menu.
