Top 10 fast food restaurants web sites rated by the LoveToKnow editors.

Top 10 List     how we choose
Arby's
Home of the roast beef sandwich, Arby's has added many new items to their menu in recent years, including deli style sandwiches. The recent addition of a value menu makes this fast food eatery a bit more affordable and competitive with other popular fast food franchises. Arby's commercials are themed around "I'm Thinking Arby's". Arby's also offers a nutritional calculator and complete nutrition info on all their menu items. You can also view current menu items, although prices may vary from location to location.
Burger King
Burger King is known for their Whoppers and the lurking, some would say creepy, King who makes an appearance in their commercials. Burger King has a value menu too, featuring hamburgers, French fries, salads, pies and sodas. In addition to a lunch and dinner value menu, BK also offers a breakfast value menu featuring items like French toast sticks, cinnamon rolls, hash browns, orange juice, coffee and sausage biscuits.
Carl's Jr.
Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are very similar and owned by the same company, but seem to be mostly located in different parts of the country. At Carl's you'll find menu items like their banana chocolate chip shake and their grilled cheese bacon burgers. If you're counting calories or just want to make the healthiest choice possible, check out their nutritional menu. Carl's Jr. was started in 1941 by Carl Karcher.
Chick-fil-A
The Chick-fil-A cows carry the slogan "Eat More Chicken", which is a cute marketing ploy by this company. They offer waffle fries, chicken strips and chicken nuggets. You'll also find ice cream, salads, sandwiches and other sides. Chick-fil-A is known for their unique dipping sauces, such as their Polynesian sauce and their fat free honey mustard dressing. You can get complete nutrition information on their menu items at their website. You can use their restaurant locator to find a Chick-fil-A near you.

1.       Kentucky Fried Chicken
If you have a craving for chicken but don't like to stand over a hot stove frying chicken in oil, then this restaurant is for you. In addition to fried chicken, KFC has added some healthier options to their menu, such as grilled chicken. Add sides such as green beans to complete the healthy lineup. Some restaurants have buffets that have a nice selection of different KFC items and perhaps even a salad bar. This can be an affordable option for a family dinner that still allows for some variety in tastes.

McDonald's
If you're looking for a fast food joint that offers a wide variety of options at an affordable price, your kids will love McDonald's. Another benefit of this restaurant is that you can find one in nearly every town in America and even find McDonald's around the world. They offer a dollar menu that allows families to eat inexpensively. McDonald's is also known for their kids meals and cartoon characters such as Ronald McDonald. Because this fast food place caters to kids, some have play areas inside with tunnels to keep kids amused while parents visit and talk.
Sonic Drive-In
Set up like an old fashioned drive in, Sonic offers treats you might have seen in the 50s. The car hops come out and bring your order, attaching a tray to your window if you want. Sonic offers menu items like corn dogs, hot dogs, burgers, fries and a wide variety of ice cream and shakes. Their prices are competitive with other fast food restaurants. Sonic prides itself on having a wide variety of items and each month will release something new and unusual for you to try.
Subway
Subway offers sandwiches, pizzas, salads and chips. If you want a quick sandwich for lunch, there may be no easier choice. You can build the sandwich the way you love it at this store. Choose from a variety of breads and luncheon meats, have the sandwich plain or toasted, add the vegetables and dressings that you like and you're set to go. Subway also offers $5 footlongs for an added value. If you're thinking about losing weight you may want to read about the Subway Diet and Jared Fogle's success in losing weight with their menu.
Taco Bell
In the mood for some Mexican food? Taco bell offers an Americanized version of Mexican cuisine in a fast food format. You'll find tacos, quesadillas, burritos and other favorites at this restaurant. Taco Bell also offers the Drive Through Diet, which allows you to substitute whole wheat tortillas, leaving off the cheese and make other substitutions that will make their food a bit healthier. If you like your food spicy, you may want to try their Volcano offerings.

1.       Wendy's
Originally founded by Dave Thomas and named after his daughter, Wendy's has come a long way since those first days of burgers and fries. Wendy's hamburgers are square instead of round and other items on the menu include chicken, chili, salads and baked potatoes. Wendy's has several different menu options, including a Value Menu for those on a budget. If you're looking for a cool and soothing treat, try one of their Frosty's, available in chocolate or vanilla.
