Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
This hilarious take on the life of an anchorman is portrayed by
the hilarious Will Ferrell, who plays newsman Ron Burgundy. The
video is available on DVD and there are also other DVDs and
features, such as hilarious bloopers. The movie also stars the
beautiful Christina Applegate as fellow news anchor Veronica. At
first, Veronica covers fluffy stories like ones about kitty fashion
shows, but then she begins to take news more seriously and Ron
Burgundy doesn't like the competition. The two go to war. |

Better Off Dead
This teen comedy from the 80s stars a very young
John Cusack, who plays Lane Meyers. When Lane's girlfriend
breaks up with him, he believes it is the end of his world and
embarks on a journey to end his own life. The comedy ensues in
failed after failed suicide attempt. Slowly, Lane begins to recover
from the breakup and eventually falls for French foreign exchange
student Monique, played by
Diane Franklin. Much of the humor in the film is subtle, so it's
important to watch it several times to realize just how hilarious

Bruce Almighty
When it comes to comedy, few can compare to
Jim Carrey, who plays Bruce Nolan in Bruce Almighty.
Although many people think Jim Carrey is an American actor, his
native homeland is Canada. He does enjoy duel citizenship in both
countries. In Bruce Almighty he plays a newsman who is very
unhappy with where his career is headed. He grows angry at God and
God, in the form of Morgan Freeman, decides to give him a chance to
see just how hard it is to keep the world running and answer
everyone's prayers without sending things into chaos. |

Groundhog Day
This movie stars Bill Murray as Phil Connors and Andie MacDowell
as his love interest. Phil is a weatherman in Punxsutawney,
Pennsylvania, on location to film the annual event where the
groundhog
Punxsutawney Phil comes out and predicts if there will be six
more weeks of winter or if spring is just around the corner. Phil
Connors has a lousy attitude. He hates the town, hates the occasion,
thinks the townspeople are ridiculous and is mean to his co-workers.
Fate then steps in and makes Phil live this day he hates in a town
he despises over and over again until he begins to appreciate others
around him and the opportunity he has been given to become a better
person. |

Happy Gilmore
This movie stars the ever funny Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore.
Happy is a not so successful hockey player, but he needs to earn
enough money to keep his grandmother from losing her house in a tax
auction. When he hears about the PGA golf tournament that can help
him raise that money, he decides to give it a shot. The players on
the PGA Tour are not too happy about this development. Of course,
there is a romance that develops on the side with Julie Bowen, who

Planes, Trains and Automobiles
If you love 80s movies, you'll appreciate this classic comedy
starring Steve Martin and the late John Candy. Steve Martin plays
straight man Neal Page and John Candy plays the goofy, but lovable
Dale Griffith. When airplanes are grounded due to a snow storm at
Thanksgiving, Neal and Dale start on a journey to find their way
home to Chicago. Everything that could possibly go wrong will go
wrong as the two try to journey home. However, through it all, the
two form a strong friendship that the viewer is left believing will

Shrek

The 40-Year-Old Virgin
This Paramount Pictures movie stars Steve Carell of The Office
as a man who is 40 years old and is still a virgin. His friends are
determined to help him rectify that situation. Katherine Keener
plays Trish, a single mother. When Carell meets Keener, his friends
are putting on pressure, but he is falling in love. The story turns
out to be a beautiful romance plot, with a lot of hilarious and some

There's Something About Mary
Online movie critics rate this movie with a B+ rating, which is
pretty good. The movie stars Ben Stiller as Ted and Cameron Diaz as
Mary. Other notable actors in this movie are Matt Damon and Chris
Elliot. Cameron Diaz won an
award for Best Actress from the New York Film Critics Circle for
her role as Mary. The movie is about Ted trying to connect with an
old high school flame after hearing her name from his dentist and
being reminded of how wonderful she is. Unfortunately, everyone else
thinks Mary is wonderful as well, which creates many amusing

The movie takes an interesting twist when he is brainwashed and
programmed to assassinate the prime minister of Malaysia. Other
