Slowly, Lane begins to recover from the breakup and eventually falls for French foreign exchange student Monique, played by Diane Franklin. Much of the humor in the film is subtle, so it's important to watch it several times to realize just how hilarious the writing is.
Bruce Almighty
When it comes to comedy, few can compare to Jim Carrey, who plays Bruce Nolan in Bruce Almighty. Although many people think Jim Carrey is an American actor, his native homeland is Canada. He does enjoy duel citizenship in both countries. In Bruce Almighty he plays a newsman who is very unhappy with where his career is headed. He grows angry at God and God, in the form of Morgan Freeman, decides to give him a chance to see just how hard it is to keep the world running and answer everyone's prayers without sending things into chaos.
Groundhog Day

Phil is a weatherman in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, on location to film the annual event where the groundhog Punxsutawney Phil comes out and predicts if there will be six more weeks of winter or if spring is just around the corner. Phil Connors has a lousy attitude. He hates the town, hates the occasion, thinks the townspeople are ridiculous and is mean to his co-workers. Fate then steps in and makes Phil live this day he hates in a town he despises over and over again until he begins to appreciate others around him and the opportunity he has been given to become a better person.
Happy Gilmore
