Bogota, Columbia There are areas of Bogota where
people should heed warnings and take caution. This large South
American city has problems with drugs and political unrest. The city
is set up on a grid. The northern parts of the city seem to be a bit
safer than the southern. A large number of citizens have guns.
Tourists should avoid Barrios Unidos, Suba, Kennedy and Bosa. Even
in the areas which are in the downtown area and historic districts,
