This fun site follows the adventures of a singing zebra named Roy.

matching worksheets that focus on things like capitalization,
punctuation and other good English skills. Roy is pretty

Book Adventure
This free reading program is brought to you by Sylvan Learning. It
is aimed at kids from kindergarten through eighth grade. Children
create a reading list from around 7,000 titles and read to earn
prizes. The
kids area offers contests, games, awards and tools. Tools
include things like links to other reading sites around the web.
Check out the
Prize Library to discover the types of prizes kids can work
toward earning. The site even offers a book finding wizard where
kids can put in their grade level and subjects that interest them

Between the Lions
This site wants kids to "get wild about reading". You'll find a

on the title and a video will load. As the video plays the book will

they are read and the illustrations come to life for the reader.

Clifford Interactive Storybooks
Many parents remember learning to read with Clifford, the big red
dog that wiggled his way into young readers' hearts. This site
offers some free resources that parents will appreciate. Read books
online like
Emily Elizabeth Goes to School. The books are highly
interactive, so even the most tech savvy early reader can enjoy
flipping through the electronic pages. The way the books work is
that the illustration from the book appears along with a few
sentences. The child can click an icon to have each sentence read.
The last sentence is a fill-in-the-blank and the child can choose to
change the story to whatever she wants by changing the word. |

The site was started as a public service site to help children
