Kim Jack Riley is a travel marketing strategist with expertise in web content publishing and digital traffic growth. Born in North London, Kim's early career as a magazine writer spanned both sides of the Atlantic for established publishing houses including Scholastic, Inc. and Time Out.
New Media Publishing
Kim earned industry acclaim as the Managing Editor of The Source Magazine, where she strategically restructured the editorial and marketing divisions. Under her direction, the publication earned the distinction of #1-selling music magazine in the U.S. and simultaneously created a path for the burgeoning new media publishing era.
Kim led The Planned Parenthood Foundation of America (PPFA) to launch an award-winning website with a model online marketing strategy. She went on to successfully lead a joint venture website for marketing gurus Proctor & Gamble and media frontrunners NBC Universal, which evolved into an eCommerce business model for spin-off food and travel web portals.
Travel and Cruises
Most recently, Kim achieved unprecedented success taking the USA websites of global travel company Flight Centre Limited to new brand positioning within the Travel, Leisure & Hospitality industry. As marketing lead for DiscountCruises.com, Kim launched multiple initiatives on the subject of cruising. In-depth research included frequent travels to the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami ports, and numerous tours of ships. She forged new and powerful relationships with mega cruise lines like Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and MSC, as well as with the trending river cruise lines of Viking, Avalon and AMA Waterways. In addition to the South Florida cruise scene, Kim is an expert on cruising in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Magazine Editors, The Association of Travel Marketing Executives, and the International Women's Media Foundation. She also conducts workshops at local libraries and public venues on the topic of writing for the web and internet marketing.
Riley has been published in a number of publications including Parenting Magazine, Black Enterprise, www.bettyconfidential.com, Impact Magazine, Honey, Time Out (UK) and the London-based Pride Magazine. She served as a reporter for the weekly newspaper, The Teaneck Suburbanite and contributed to AOL.com's travel and lifestyles division.
In pursuit of personal interests, Kim is a Certified Tea Sommelier and delivers local presentations and tea tastings on the topic of Tea. She also volunteers for a number of charitable organizations including the Englewood Hospital & Medical Center and The Women's Right's Information Center.
Kim resides in New Jersey with her husband and celebrated radio journalist, Mark Riley, and their 17-year-old daughter, Viveca.
