The pillows looked like pancakes at first, but they fluffed up a bit in a few hours. (Pro tip: Stand them upright to get them to fluff faster.) The pillows aren't super plushy or thick, but they are soft and give just enough support. You can squeeze them for more cushiness if you want it. The best part is that they really are cooler than most. All pillows will get warm eventually from body heat, but these ones stay cool a lot longer than any others that I've tried (and I've tried a lot of them).
