The ACM was formed in 1964 by two country music performers and two club owners. The first ACM awards ceremony was held in 1966. Today, the ACM hosts an annual awards ceremony and features famous hosts from the top names in country music. Nominees for the award include names such as Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and George Strait. One of the unique things about the ACM award is that the nominees are posted and voting is then opened up to fans.

You'll also find a community bulletin board where you can dish about your favorites.
Country Music Association (CMA)
CMA was formed in 1958. It is the professional trade organization for the country music industry. They have about 6,000 members in 41 different countries. Unless you are in the music industry, you probably recognize the name because of the CMA Awards or the CMA Music Festival. They call the CMA Awards "country music's biggest night". Hosts include artists like Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. You can relive the prior year's awards through the CMA's online photo gallery.
