But for those days when you are and the gloomy days when you're not, there are coconut water mocktails to make the sunshine appear instantly. Slather on that metaphorical SPF and hydrate your mind, body, and soul with any one of these coconut water mocktails. 

Skinny Piña Colada Mocktail

This mocktail is for when you want something thirst-quenching that won't fill up the belly. For those of us who love to drink our vitamin C, we can add this to our list of accomplishments today.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces coconut water
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • ½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, coconut water, pineapple juice, and lime juice.
  2. Shake to chill.
  3. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with a lime wheel. 

A Nap on the Beach

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce peach nectar
  • ¾ ounce raspberry simple syrup
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice
  • 4 ounces coconut water
  • Ice
  • Orange wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, peach nectar, raspberry simple syrup, orange juice, cranberry juice, and coconut water.
  2. Shake to chill.
  3. Strain into a hurricane glass over fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with an orange wedge. 

Zero-Proof Coconut Water Margarita

Ingredients

  • Lime wedge and salt for rim
  • 1½ ounces nonalcoholic silver tequila
  • ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ¾ ounce agave syrup
  • ¼ ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Ice
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Instructions 

  1. To prepare rim, rub the rim of the glass with the lime wedge.
  2. With the salt on a saucer, dip either half or the entire rim of the glass in the salt to coat.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, nonalcoholic tequila, lime juice, agave syrup, and orange juice. 
  4. Shake to chill.
  5. Strain into the prepared glass.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge. 

Coconut Water Faux-jito

  1. In a highball glass, muddle the mint leaves with simple syrup.
