When you want to increase your intake of fruit, alphabetical lists can be a helpful tool. They're also a fun way to learn all the fruit options out there (and there are tons). By using a list, you can easily check off the products that you have used during the month. You might be surprised how many different kinds of fruit you eat!

Ways to Use a Fruit Alphabetical List

There are actually a ton of ways to put a fruit list to good use.

  • For preschool and elementary teachers introducing different fruits, a downloadable list of fruit in alphabetical order can help to integrate the different fruits with the letter of the alphabet or sound being studied. This list is an awesome way to connect different areas of the curriculum.
  • You can use the list to reinforce concepts or learn new letters. Homeschool parents may want to have their children eat a lunch of all A fruits when learning the letter A, for example.
  • It's fun to try all the fruits on the list, too, and you can do this alphabetically. The different flavors and textures will help kids remember what they learn.

Fast Fact

Durian is the smelliest fruit in the world! Scientists have found that it has many different compounds that combine to make it smell grosser than gross, even though it supposedly tastes great. We dare you to try it.

A Fruit or a Vegetable?

Although some of the produce on the list is often listed amongst vegetables, everything on this list is a fruit. A fruit is the fleshy part of any plant that contains the seeds. There is much more fruit than can be compiled on this, or any other, list. Be sure to try new varieties of fruit when you can and eat the recommended five a day. We love smoothies as a way to get more fruit in your diet.
