What to Do

  1. Begin by removing the labels from the wine bottles. Make sure they are completely dry.
  2. If you wish, paint the bottles using glass paint. Allow them to dry before continuing.
  3. Wrap wire several times around the neck of each bottle, creating a loop to hang it.
  4. Insert a strand of fairy lights in each bottle, leaving the battery end out of the bottle. Use the wire to secure the battery end near the top of the bottle.
  5. Hang each bottle on your patio, using the wire loop. Switch on the lights for a lovely display.
