Drug-Free Lifestyle Advocate
Shari holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her book, Wish I Could Have Said Goodbye, is utilized in drug treatment centers and in high schools as a communication tool to help kids talk about, and deal with, addiction issues. She also visits high schools and drug treatment centers where she talks to teens about how to deal with life without using destructive coping mechanisms.
Shari enjoys writing and researching all kinds of parenting issues, but she is especially passionate about nutrition and topics surrounding our education system and learning disabilities. She believes kids need to learn critical life skills outside of the curriculum to excel.

While Shari's kids were in elementary school, she volunteered to be a team leader for Destination Imagination, a national program that teaches kids leadership, teamwork, and creative problem-solving skills. Her team took second place in the regional competition.
