Brandi is a mom, and she was also a marriage and family therapist intern at a middle school and community college where she counseled students on a variety of mental health issues. As an associate editor for PsychCentral for the past five years, she has written articles on everything from anxiety and stress to healthy living topics. She has also written travel articles for families.
Brandi has a graduate degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University. As part of her program, she worked with clients of diverse ages, backgrounds and issues, including relationships. She has also interviewed experts and written several articles on relationships including ways to end a friendship and the spiritual lessons that can be learned from friendships.
Stress Management, Health and Wellness
Brandi was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2013. Since then, she's taken her Master's degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis on health and used it to educate others on how to live a more resilient life. She's given stress management workshops to moms and was a guest speaker at a mom's health and wellness event.
Other Interests and Hobbies
Brandi is a Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators member and currently working on books for children and kids. Her dream is to create whimsical characters who remind us about the beauty, magic and the extraordinary that can be found in the ordinary.
