Cooking & Entertaining
Mary started cooking and baking alongside her father and grandmother at an early age and has stuck with it ever since. With a habit of baking along with each episode of "The Great British Bake Off" and a commitment to passing a love for cooking along to her daughter, Mary cooks every day and has personally tested hundreds of kitchen tools, many of which she featured in Delish.
Books & Reading
A voracious reader, Mary has an extensive personal library and reads over 100 books each year. She studied English at Louisiana State University of Alexandria, and is looking forward to a graduate program in multicultural literature. She loves to explore emerging voices and debut authors as well as women's and BIPOC stories. In her free time, she can often be found on BookTok and Bookstagram as well as writing about books on Medium.
Travel
Having grown up in a military family, Mary moved many times throughout her childhood and caught the travel bug early. She learned quickly which are the most essential things to pack and how best to maximize space during a long flight or roadtrip. While her favorite place to visit is Cuernavaca in central Mexico, she has a long bucket list of stamps she looks forward to adding to her passport.
Theater & Film
An enthusiastic storyteller, Mary studied theater at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she also worked as a stagehand at the local auditorium. She then worked as a background extra for various filming projects along the East Coast - if you look very closely, you can see her in several episodes of Netflix's "House of Cards" and HBO's "Veep"!
