Anytime Pizza: How to Make Yeast-Free Pizza Dough

Making pizza dough is actually pretty easy, and the best part is that you can make our easy yeast-free pizza dough right at home using the ingredients you already have. That means no store runs and throwing on some of last night's leftover protein as your topping. We mean business when we say nothing is holding us back from throwing a pizza party. 

Easy Yeast-Free Pizza Dough Recipe 

This recipe makes two 12-inch pizza crusts. If you only need one, you can cut the recipe in half or wrap half of the dough in plastic wrap, refrigerate it, and use it within 24 hours, although it rises best when used immediately after mixing.


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • ⅔ cup water
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Suggested Pizza Toppings & Sauce 

  • 2 cups tomato sauce 
  • 2 cups mozarella cheese 
  • Mushrooms 
  • Bell peppers 
  • Olives
  • Spinach
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • Diced tomatoes 
  • Pepperoni 
  • Bacon 
  • Ham
  • Sausage 


  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and optional garlic and oregano. Stir slowly to mix.
  3. Make a well in the middle of the flour mix, and pour in the water and oil.
  4. Stir until the ingredients are combined, and then use your hands to knead the dough right in the bowl until it's smooth.
  5. Divide the dough in half and place one half on an oiled pizza pan. Cover the remaining dough with a damp towel until you're ready to use it or wrap and store it in the fridge.
  6. Use your hands to press the dough out until it fills the pan.
  7. Avoiding the edges, prick the rest of the dough all over with a toothpick. This will help it bake evenly.
  8. Add a thin layer of sauce, and then add the toppings and cheese.
  9. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the edges of the crust are golden brown and the cheese begins to turn light gold.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the pizza cool for about five minutes before slicing.
  11. Repeat the process with the other half of the pizza dough.
Quick Tip

Give last night's leftovers a second chance at the dinner table. Dice up any leftover proteins like roast chicken, steak, and leftover BBQ, and use them as your pizza toppings. No waste here.

Breadsticks for Pizza Dip 

Turn your pizza dough into tasty garlic breadsticks and serve with a pizza dip. Roll your dough and cut it to be 6 to 8 inches long. Brush some melted butter on top and sprinkle lightly with crushed garlic and salt. Bake for 15 minutes and serve with marinara sauce, pizza dip, or ranch. 

Bread Bowls 

Try this technique if you're looking for a creative way to serve your salad or chili. Get an oven-safe bowl and place the dough around the bowl. Cover the bowl entirely and brush the surface with olive oil. Sprinkle some salt and bake for about 15-20 minutes.  Fill it with your favorite Greek salad, homemade chili, or creamy carbonara
