Colorful Cocktails Inspired by Pantone's Colors of the Year

Pantone has been naming a color of the year for over 20 years now, starting in 2000 — a year when the world clicked into the future in a single moment. Every year, we're inspired by Pantone's choices that make our world that much more vibrant, and we're bringing those colors to you in drink form. We've come up with an array of colorful cocktails to match Pantone's colors of the year for the past several years. 

The 2024 color of the year is none other than peach fuzz. And one these colorful cocktails will certainly have you feeling fuzzy with joy.

Ingredients

• 1½ ounces vanilla vodka
• 1 ounce peach nectar
• ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
• ¾ ounce orange liqueur
• Ice
• Peach wedge and golden raspberries for garnish

Instructions

1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, vanilla vodka, peach nectar, lemon juice, and orange liqueur.
2. Shake to chill.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. 
4. Garnish with peach wedges and golden raspberries.

In 2023, Pantone picked a vibrant shade of magenta, Viva Magenta. Our magenta-colored cocktail shows you that the best life to live is the vivid life. 

Ingredients

• 1½ ounces vodka
• ¾ ounce pomegranate juice
• ½ ounce prickly pear syrup
• Ice
• Prosecco to top off
• Lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

1. Chill a martini glass or coupe.
2. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, vodka, pomegranate juice, and prickly pear syrup.
3. Shake to chill.
4. Strain into the chilled glass.
5. Top off with prosecco.
6. Garnish with a lime wheel. 

What's red and goes shake-shake-shake-shake-shake? Your colorful red cocktail being shaken up! Sultry and sensual red cocktails will add some fiery vibes to your drink, or soften your sip with a blushing pink cocktail instead. 

In 2022, Pantone picked a dreamy periwinkle called Very Peri. We've reimagined Very Peri into this dreamy cocktail. Life's too short not to dream in color.

Ingredients

• 1½ ounces gin
• ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
• ½ ounce pear liqueur
• ¼ ounce crème de violette
• Ice
• Lemon ribbon for garnish

Instructions

1. Chill a martini glass or coupe.
2. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, gin, lemon juice, pear liqueur, and crème de violette.
3. Shake to chill.
4. Strain into the chilled glass.
5. Garnish with a lemon ribbon.

Love that purple hue from Very Peri? We've got more pretty purple cocktails. They're perfect for spring when the flowers and the pastel shades burst everywhere in nature. Of course, that's no reason not to lean into warm spring thoughts in the winter with a purple martini.

Brighter than sunshine, Illuminating actually was co-color of the year in 2021 with Ultimate Gray, but Ultimate Gray doesn't make for an eye-catching colorful cocktail. The instant sunshine that is Illuminating? Totally is.

Ingredients

• 2 ounces coconut rum
• 3 ounces pineapple juice
• ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
• ¾ ounce falernum
• Crushed ice
• Pineapple leaf for garnish

Instructions

1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, and falernum.
2. Shake to chill.
3. Strain into a highball glass over crushed ice.
4. Garnish with a pineapple leaf.

• 2 ounces limeade
• ¾ ounce blue curaçao
• Ice
• Blueberries for garnish

Instructions

1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, blueberry vodka, limeade, and blue curaçao.
2. Shake to chill.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
4. Garnish with blueberries.
