While this was happening in Mesopotamia; Egyptians astrologers were developing the decans. These two astrological traditions came together sometime around the 1st Century BCE. Now, in the 21st Century, there are two types of Egyptian Astrology, one uses the traditional dates based on the decans and the other is based on the western signs of the zodiac.
