Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Bath Scrubber

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Bath Scrubber

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Bath Scrubber

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with 2 pads for the bathroom offers the same great appeal as the original magic eraser but has a foaming cleaner in them. These are great for getting rid of soap scum on the tub and sink quickly and easily. They are also nice because they don't require any additional spray or waiting time. You just wet the scrubby down and start scrubbing, it's honestly that simple. Depending on the one you buy, you can get them in the fresh Febreze scent, which I really enjoy in the bathroom. I also find these really convenient to use to clean the outside of the toilet.

The major issue that I have with these scrubbing pads is storage. The foam in them dries out and gets a bit flaky. And they aren't as effective the next time you use them. I store them in a Ziploc bag to help with this.

I'm not a fan of cleaning the toilet, especially with a house full of boys. Therefore, I find Clorox Disinfecting Wipes in the value pack simple and easy to use to clean the toilet. You simply wipe it down and throw them away. They are also convenient to use at any time. So, if you happen to see a mess on the toilet or around the floor, you can quickly wipe it up and know all the germs are going to be gone.

However, I sometimes find it hard to get just one wipeout at a time. Also, they have a bit of a strong chemical scent, depending on the ones you buy.

What We Like
Both sides have disinfectant
Kills germs on contact
What We Don't
Can be hard to get just one wipe

Clorox ToiletWand Disposable Toilet Cleaning System

Clorox ToiletWand Disposable Toilet Cleaning System

Clorox ToiletWand Disposable Toilet Cleaning System

Does the thought of cleaning your toilet brush make you cringe? You might enjoy the Clorox ToiletWand Disposable Toilet Cleaning System. There is no toilet cleaner or rinsing the brush. You simply pop the head on the cleaning system and swipe it around the toilet. The scrubbing pads and chemicals work to remove all the gunk and build-up while disinfecting the toilet. When you are done, pop the head in the trash. It's that simple.

What I didn't like about this product was the pads themselves. First, you have to attach them with your hands. Second, they can fall apart as you scrub the toilet. The idea, though is fantastic.

What We Like

Skylarlife home mold & mildew remover

Skylarlife Home Mold & Mildew

Even if you are on top of your bathroom cleaning game, mold and mildew can creep in. With the moist air in the bathroom, it's hard to avoid. If those black stains start creeping into your space, reach for Skylarlife Home Mold & Mildew in the 5 oz. bottle. The thick formula works to whiten and kill the mold and mildew on even the blackest of stains. Using it is simple. You squeeze it on and walk away. In the morning, those stains will be gone.

Some reviewers did not like the thickness of the product. They said that it took a long time to clean up. While other reviewers did not appreciate the fact that it takes hours for this product to work.

Clorox Clean-Up All Purpose Cleaner with Bleach

Clorox Clean-Up All Purpose With Bleach

Clorox Clean-Up All Purpose Cleaner with Bleach

The cleaning and disinfecting powers of bleach are hard to discount, especially in the bathroom. Therefore, one of my favorite commercial all-purpose cleaners to use on my shower, sink, and toilet is Clorox Clean-Up All Purpose With Bleach in the 32 oz. bottle. This stuff gets in there to get rid of all those stubborn stains, mold, and even soap scum. In addition to being affordable, it's easy to use. You just spray it on the tub or sink, let it sit, and wipe it away. There is no scrubbing involved.

My problem with this cleaner is the smell. The chemical smell bothers me, so I have to spray it and let it sit before cleaning it off. The nozzle sprayer is also hit or miss. I struggle getting it to squirt the product correctly on some of the bottles.

Better Life Naturally Filth-Fighting All-Purpose Cleaner

Better Life Natural All-Purpose Cleaner

Better Life Naturally Filth-Fighting All-Purpose Cleaner

When you are trying to go more chemical-free in your home cleaning routine, I recommend the powerful cleaning fighter found in Better Life Natural All-Purpose Cleaner in the 32 oz. bottle. This cleaner uses plant-based cleaning ingredients that are biodegradable like soap bark and coconut to naturally clean up messes around your bathroom. This formula also avoids using dyes and fragrances that can bother some people.

Using this product is pretty easy too. You just turn the nozzle to the on position and start spraying all the areas in your bathroom that need cleaning. But, you have to remember that when you take away the chemicals like bleach and hydrogen peroxide, you are losing the disinfecting power as well. Also, it has a bit of a scent to it from the natural ingredients.

What We Don't

Looking to brighten up the grout in your shower? Look no further than the brightening power of CLR Brillant Bath in the 26 oz. bottle. This stuff is a true miracle worker when it comes to getting grout gleaming again. Though you can use this stuff on pretty much any area of your bathroom, I like that it removes all the calcium, lime, and hard water deposits that get my grout looking dingy.

You basically just spray it on there, and it goes to work. There is minimal scrubbing involved. The grout also gets whiter as it dries. But, keep in mind, you only want to use this on white grout.

No scrub
Dissolves calcium and hard water stains

What We Don't
Only for white grout

Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner

If you are all about going the old-fashioned toilet brush way, then you want to use a little Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner in the 24 oz. bottle to crack down on the grime and scum build-up in the bowl. This thick formula goes on smooth and easily by just squirting it along the rim of the bowl. I close the lid and let is sit for a few minutes to penetrate those deep rust stains, which sometimes take over my toilet. You'll then scrub and flush.

While I think this cleaner does a great job getting out most of the stains in the bowl of the toilet, it does struggle to remove the buildup on the waterline and in the bottom of the bowl. Those without hard water typically won't experience this issue.

What We Like
Convenient curved neck
Thick formula
Works fast
What We Don't
Struggles with hard water stains

Cleaning your bathroom can be kind of hard on your lungs. But Breathe Bathroom Cleaner in the 14 oz. can tries not to be. And, it's very effective in the shower. You have to mist this cleaner on your shower, and you'll instantly see it start to work on that shower scum. That means no scrubbing for you. It's also an aerosol, so a little goes a long way, and you don't have that bathroom mushroom cloud. That said, if you do happen to overspray, it will cause irritation. Given that you don't need much, the three can pack is a steal.

What We Don't
Too much spray can cause fumes

A cheap and effective bathtub scrub for those hard water stains is Bar Keepers Friend. This stuff is magical if you suffer from mineral and hard water stains on your tub. You simply sprinkle it on, add a little water, and watch it magically scrub away all your stains. It doesn't take a lot of elbow grease either. If you have very heavy stains, you might want to scrub it all in, let it sit, and then start scrubbing.

Unlike CLR or Iron-Out, it's not nearly as harsh on your lungs and just as effective. The only downside to this cleaner is it's not designed for all types of tubs. So, try it on a discrete area first to ensure it doesn't cause damage.
